Kawakawa Tea with Year Three

Today Room 12 picked kawakawa leaves from our native bush walk and made a traditional Maori kawakawa tea by simlpy pouring hot water over the leaves in a tea pot. We sweetened it with our own Sunny Honey.

"It smells like delicious honey" Hayley
""It smells like mint" Nadiv
"It smells fresh" Olivia
"It smells like leaves" Claire
"It looks like a clear yellow" Zoe
"It It tastes a little spicy but super yummy" Milo
"I can taste the honey" Nicolas

You can also cool the tea and keep it in your fridge to have as a cordial.
