Congratulations Carbon Crunchers

Congratulations to our Carbon Crunchers, who along with Mrs Daniel,  presented their work today around Climate Change, to over 80 educators from around Auckland in a Zoom Hui.

The accolades came thick and fast in the chat and Cate Jessep described their contribution as inspirational. Well done Noah, Yi Fan, Bokai, Peter and Michael (who couldn't make the actual presentation but had put all the work in too). What a great way to share & shine.

Andrew & Matthew in the garden:

Helping in the garden

On Saturday we worked on the front side of the garden and we had to get spades & some tools to get ready for the garden. So we got the tools and then we got to work. Me and my Dad were digging out the dirt and my Mum was picking out the weeds in the hard bricks. Then my Dad said he is going to do the other side where the bushes are but not the other side of the house. So he went to the other side to cut some branches down and then my Dad said to my brother can you pick up the branches I chop down and he said yes and then the wheel barrow was full and then I took it to the big mud pile and dropped it on the other squishy mud. Then my Dad was finished on the other side where the branches were and then he said to me can you dig out this little bit and then you will be done and I said yes so I got to work. And then my head was all sweaty and then I finished. And then every one finished and then we all went in side.

Now the garden is lovely so we can plant some new plants.

 Helping in the garden

On Sunday we helped in the garden. My mum  helped my dad with his very strong muscles and my brother and then I came out and decided to help. I was digging with a spade and loading the mud in the wheelbarrow and my brother was loading the wheelbarrow with mud in a whole big pile of mud.  I put branches in a plastic bag then I went and dug some more and after that I picked up the little leaves that I could not pick up when I was doing the branches but I had a go and I did it. When I had finished picking up the small leaves my beautiful mum asked me to tell my sister if she could make my mum a cup of tea. When I asked her then I went out and my mum asked me to help her put the weeds in the plastic bag. When I was done that my dad said can you sweep all the small pieces of mud in the mud we were digging from. Then I went inside and my dad was digging and my cat was looking at my dad through the window and scratching the wall beside the window. Now the garden is all ready to plant some more planets
