Our keyword today was biodiversity. We explored how all life is interconnected then played an online food web game ZSL Food Web. Next, we explored the relationships in our own native bush walk. Some plants don't work with the forest because they've been introduced by humans, like the climbing asparagus. We spent time weeding the pest plants while we listened out for tui in the kowhai tree.
Lastly we planted our Trees for Survival seedlings, so that next year's Eco Leaders can plant them on farms to protect water ways and grow new forests. Well done on your excellent mahi Rooms 6 & 7!
