Trees For Survival Planting Day 2018

Yesterday was one of those magic enviro days when Sunnyhills' people, places, programmes & practices came together to create something that will have positive impact on our environment for generations to come.

KEES' DIARY:

Trees for Survival

Trees for survival was a planting day for the enviro group i was just lucky they could squeeze me in. I really enjoyed the trip and the food was to die for - nachos my favourite.

I loved digging and the ground was soft so it made it easy. The planting was much more fun and easier than I thought. The bus ride was a bit of a cruise but i am always up for a adventure And when we digged the mud made funny noises. One of the best things was seeing my friend again that actually came to our school a few years ago.

Shaye's Day:

Trees For Survival

Last week Friday the 3rd Sunnyhills enviro group went on a bus for a very long….. drive to do Trees for Survival where we plant trees and have fun.

When we got there we had morning tea and we met someone from the Auckland Council, who told us what to do.

So we walked down a trail down to a lake, and we went straight into planting the trees. We had to plant 630 trees! Which took a very high amount of time. But in the end, it was very enjoyable doing it.

In summary after that we went back to have some lunch, we had nachos! which were delicious and we met the animals we meet a handful of sheep, also a goat named Cookies and rooster which kept coming up to the barn and looked at everybody's food.

Then after that we sadly had to go back to school, Before long we were at the schools back gate. In conclusion was a very entertaining day.
